When will you open again?
In 2020, we had the COVID outbreak, followed by the loss of our beloved Bob, the creative visionary of this park. "Bob's River Place" is Now for Sale with the hope that a future buyer will continue Bob's Historic Landmark, which has expansion potential. To Bob's Fans, Thank you very much for the love and support.
Were You Open All Year?
No. We were Seasonal. Our Last Day was Sunday, September 29th, 2019.
Is this a State or County Park?
No. We are privately owned. Bob of “Bob’s River Place" is the owner.
How are you different from State/County Parks?
We have Lots of Activities. Cost to operate, regulate, maintain and run Bob’s is funded by Bob. State/County parks are funded by your Tax dollars. Also, State/County Parks close down when it rains. We stay Open Rain or Shine.
What Type Activities do you have?
Rope Swings from Tree Houses with various levels from beginner - advanced; Fast Water Slides, Log Roll, Waterfalls, Floating Rafts with Paddles, Karaoke, Splash Pads, Jumping Platform, Floating Walkways, Floating Square Docks (for playing "King of the Dock"), Water/Dry Volleyball, Tubing Trail for Tubing down the River, Water Hammocks, 50 Picnic Tables and 50 Charcoal Grills.
Are You a Water Park?
No. We are a Swimming Hole. Water Parks have concrete man made pools. This is an all natural environment.
Do you sell Food/Drinks?
No. You can bring charcoal for cooking out, pack your lunches and bring coolers for drinks (but no alcohol allowed or glass bottles). There are 50 picnic tables and 50 grills on site which are first come/first serve. There are also 2 covered pavilions with their own grills. If you wish to reserve a covered Pavilion for the day, call 352-542-7363.

You can park next to your picnic table, if you like.
Please Bring Trash Bags with you if you bring Food/Drinks
We don’t have trash cans, because we don’t sell anything that produces trash. So, please take with you, what you brought in. Thank you.
All About the Water....
We are located on the Suwannee River; A Natural Fresh Water River. It gets the Color Tones from the Tannin in the Leaves, Similar to how Tea Staines Water. When there is Less Rainfall, the Water becomes Clear. Quality tested Regularly.
Who are the Activities Best Suited For?
Athletic Adventurers, Adrenaline Seekers, Athletic Teens and Young Adults
What if I'm not that Athletic? There is also Karaoke, Floating Water Mats, Bleachers where you can watch the Swingers, Cooking Out and a Tubing Trail, where you can Tube down the Suwannee River.
Can I bring Alcohol?
No. Alcohol is not allowed, due to the high adrenaline activities here.
Who is Bob?
The Owner. He has lived on this property since the 1970s. In the 1970s, He transformed his property into a playground for his family (kids, grandkids) and neighbors. When the word spread and popularity grew, Bob allowed the Public to come and it evolved into what it has become today.
When do you Re-Open for the season?
Updates will be made here when we have the actual opening date.
Is there a Kiddie Area and is this a good place for babies?
No. The activities here are best suited for Athletic Teens and Young Adults.
Can Dogs Come Here?
No. Only Bob’s Yellow Lab will make her appearance on less busy days to say “Hello” or greet people at the front gate. She would love to join your volleyball game, if you want her for a teammate.
Is there a Waiver?
Yes. You sign it upon entry. You agree that you and your Passengers are Not Under the Influence of any Mind Altering Substances and you do not have any Mind Altering Substances or Alcohol in your Possession. That you Understand All activities are at your Own Risk and that We Have No Lifeguards. So, You need to be a Good Swimmer in order to Participate in the Water Activities.

Our original Facebook site was hacked in 2017. So, There is only ONE official site on Facebook that is the REAL “Bob’s River Place”.
